Summary
MultiTech announces new ordering part numbers for SocketModem® Cell and SocketModem® MTQ Cellular Embedded Modems. These new ordering part numbers include a new cellular module and firmware for use on 4G-LTE Category M1 networks.
At the same time, the current 4G-LTE Cat M1 embedded modem devices (non .Rx) are changing status from Active to Near-End-of-Life (NEOL) effective immediately.

Overview of Change
The release of the new ordering part numbers include an updated cellular module and firmware version.
Current firmware for MTSMC-MNG6 and MTQ-MNG6 models:
- Telit ME910G1-WW HW1.0 BLK
- IMEI XX6 FW 37.00.xx6 HW 1.0
New firmware:
- Telit ME910G1-WW HW1.0 BLK
- IMEI XX8 FW 37.00.xx8 HW 1.0
The new firmware contains a host of updates and improvements including:
- Security updates and improvements such as secure storage and improvement to SSL handling
- Anti-Rollback - cannot flash backwards to older code
- Bug fixes since .XX6 release

The May 30th date is MultiTech?s last time buy date for purchasing modules. MultiTech has the ability to accept orders beyond this date, however quantities may be limited.
Last Time Buy Information
All orders placed for products listed in this announcement as Near-End-of-Life require a Non-Cancellable, Non-Returnable (NCNR) agreement. Last time ship dates are negotiable with an NCNR agreement. Please contact your MultiTech sales representative for details and a copy of the agreement.

Two-Year Product Warranty
MultiTech embedded products include a two-year warranty that includes on-line technical support.

To help facilitate the transition to the new ordering part numbers listed in this notification, we recommend the following actions be taken:
