Summary
MultiTech announces new ordering part numbers for SocketModem® Cell and SocketModem® MTQ Cellular Embedded Modems. These new ordering part numbers include a new cellular module and firmware for use on 4G-LTE Category 1 networks.
At the same time, the current 4G-LTE Cat 1 embedded modem devices (non .Rx) are changing status from Active to Near-End-of-Life (NEOL) effective immediately.

The new firmware contains a host of updates and improvements including:
- Security updates and network enhancements
- Various Certifications achieved1G2D mod
- Bug fixes since.XX6 release
- Anti-Rollback ? cannot flash backwards to older code
