BATM/Telco Systems’ T2M, New Generation Layer 2 10/100/1000 Ethernet managed switch series is designed to alleviate increasing network congestion caused by the use of high-speed applications. The switch has 24 10/100 Fast Ethernet ports and 2 expansion slots for uplink or stacking (T2MS) purposes, and is the ideal solution for workgroup environments that require high bandwidth as well as integrated connectivity to the network backbone. The T2M family is fully compliant with key IEEE standards, which guarantees smooth integration, plug-and-play, to new and already existing networks. The T2MS provides stacking support, of up to 8 switches that can be managed by single IP address for maintenance ease.

Flexibility
BATM/Telco Systems "pay-as-you-grow" philosophy, provides you with the option to start with exactly what you need toady, and when you need to add ports or uplinks, you can use one of the variety of expansion options T2M family supports. Each switch supports
2 slide-in expansion modules that provide an easy connection to GBIC modules (T2M), Fixed Gigabit Ethernet modules (copper, optical and stacking modules when available), and even Fast Ethernet optical modules.

Scalability
The T2MS supports stacking features that allows managing up to 8 switches as one unit, with a single IP address. No add-on hardware components are required to implement the stacking functionality.

Manageability
Drawing on the low-cost high-performance architecture of the T2M, network managers can enjoy fast LAN speeds and comfortably migrate to higher-performance networks, while preserving legacy LAN investments. Full SNMP support is an integral part of the
T2M family members. The bountiful access avenues, via Web or Telnet, afford network managers simple and adequate means to implement network policy. T2M switches provide 1 RS-232 Console port in back panel for the administrators to configure, monitor or manage the network easily and efficiently. No add-on hardware components are required to implement the management features. The T2M switches family, as all BATM/Telco Systems IP platforms, is supported by the BiNOSCenter. The BiNOSCenter is BATM/Telco’s EMS/NMS (Element/Network Management System) platform providing to the network operator with a powreful, state-of-the-art, SNMP based configuration, monitoring and maintenance networks platform.
