The T2 10/100BaseT/TX Fast Ethernet switch series is designed to alleviate increasing network congestion caused by the use of high-speed applications. This switch has 16 10/100 Fast Ethernet ports, and is the ideal solution for workgroup environments that require high-bandwidth as well as integrated connectivity to backbones.
The T2 switches offer highly advanced features, such as flow control for full duplex operation. It is effectively designed with a low-cost architecture, T2 switches have broken through industry price barriers. With high port density and low cost-per-port, enterprise network managers can enjoy fast LAN speed and immediate migration to higher-performance networks, while preserving legacy LAN investments.
With the addition of the 100BaseFX slide in module the T2 can be placed at a distance of up to 2 Km from the network core. The 100BaseFX slide in module comes with SC or ST interface.
