These converters allow your computer to communicate up to 4,000 feet by converting the RS-232 signal to RS-422.
Current loop signals often can transmit over circuits that serial signals can’t traverse reliably, due to distance, marginal conductors and electrical noise.
These converters are perfect for applications that don’t require isolation or port-powered capability. All models include Automatic Send Data Control, eliminating the need for software modification.
These port-powered converters change TD and RD RS-232 lines to RS-485 signals. All are port powered and feature Automatic Send Data Control. SDC automatically enables the RS-485 driver when data is present on the RS-232 side. Control of the driver is automatic at rates up to 115.2 kbps.
Convert RS-232 to RS-422 for eighty times the range
Convert RS-232 TD and RD signals to RS-422, allowing range to be increased from the 50 feet specified in the RS-232 standard to 4,000 feet at data speeds up to 115.2 kbps.
